Job Description

The Software Development Manager oversees a team of developers who design, develop and maintain the operation of software systems with a specific emphasis on usability, performance and scalability. They are also involved in strategic plans to accomplish technical and business goals with leadership teams and with customers.

Scope

  • Provide project management and technical leadership for every aspect of software
  • Prepare lifecycle for different projects inclusive of research, development, design, evaluation, testing along with delivery to product management
  • Supervise architecture plus lead efforts to develop technical roadmaps of all projects
  • Perform closely with developers and product management throughout organization to influence product development assisting or improving products
  • Ensure top quality design reviews attaining business goals
  • Evaluate projects, develop and update schedules, plus supervise project status
  • Collaborate effectively with all team members as well as hold regular team meetings

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Display extensive knowledge around building, delivering, and implementing mobile app development
  • Have a working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and explain issues from both a technical and a business functional point of view
  • Possess a strong background in Enterprise software development
  • Effortlessly switch between big picture thinking and separate non-essential details

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or additional related equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years related work experience in IT
  • 3 + years supervisory/management experience
  • Proven knowledge to plan, design, code, install, test, and troubleshoot in a technical environment supporting a variety of applications
  • Experience working in an agile environment with constantly changing work priorities and demands.
