Specifically, the Pre-Sales Engineer will:

  • Be capable of building strong, direct relationships with senior technical contacts, comprehending customer architectures and fellow traveler solution offerings targeted at cloud service provider infrastructure, a strong position as the trusted advisor in solving challenging technical and business problems.
  • Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, customer met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
  • Be self-motivated, self-sufficient with the ability to stay current on emerging industry trends, technologies, and issues.
  • Offer design and configuration best practices to customers when aligning and deploying Henson Group Managed Services offerings to customer environment(s)
  • Have excellent presentation skills and experience selling to Enterprise, Corporate, and SMB IT customers.
  • Be comfortable working at senior levels internally and externally.
  • Work on deals assigned to the sales team, supporting and prioritizing effort to maximize total impact on team productivity and profit.
  • Have excellent presentation skills and the ability to understand, specify and communicate requirements to marketing and engineering teams.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of cross-group collaboration.
  • Work in a highly ambiguous environment and achieve high-quality results.
  • Have excellent time management and organizational skills that are needed to prioritize tasks in a very interrupt-driven environment, including pipeline management.
  • Having good relationship-building skills is necessary, including the ability to build a rapport and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel internal and clients.
  • Show willingness to occasionally travel for customer engagements and events.

Job Requirements:

  • Provides advanced solution knowledge of company platforms and technologies and acts in a trusted advisory capacity to the customer.
  • Builds trusted relationships at all levels of the organization, including key account executives.
  • Requires a thorough understanding of the customers' business and technical problems and must be able to demonstrate how these can be solved using Microsoft-based solutions.
  • As a technical resource in the customer, the role will cover business transformation objectives defined by the account team and partners in the business units to drive awareness and early adoption of new Microsoft technologies, platforms, and solutions.
  • Working alongside the Account Executives, the role will be responsible for ensuring the success of our Compute, Storage, Networking, Artificial Intelligence, and Adjacency growth objectives as well as developing new opportunities around the company's key growth strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a relevant technical discipline or related experience.
  • 2+ years of technical experience or knowledge with Current trends in Cloud Service Providers' business model and instance evolution.
  • Data Center infrastructure and migrations include computing, server & storage platforms, PaaS and container-based workloads (AKS, Docker, etc.), Virtualization, AI, and Analytics.
  • 2+ years, preferably with sales experience directly related to CSPs or Partner Channel.
  • Cloud certification(s) a bonus (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • 2+ years of working knowledge of IT software deployment methodologies, including workload optimization and modernization.
