Job Description

Our client is looking for a seasoned, Senior Database Developer with Azure experience to join our team and support our clients' projects in data warehousing, BI, and Azure SQL migration. 

This is a direct-hire, local (Houston, TX) only position and corp-to-corp contractors will not be considered.

Minimum Requirements:

5 years+ of hands-on, industry experience with Database Design and Development, Data Warehousing, ETL and SSIS, and SQL Azure Development including proficiency in:

  • Strong understanding of Data Management and Data Warehouses/Data Marts, BI and Data Analytics, Cubes, Reporting Technologies, and ETL
  • Migration experience of SQL database on-prem to SQL Azure is highly preferred
  • Program and develop SQL scripts, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, constraints, etc.
  • Design, development, documentation of ETL processes and SSIS packages
  • Working with APIs to pull data from real-time feeds for content, analytics, statistics, to feed into a data warehouse infrastructure
  • Create Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI
  • Work in a complex environment which includes Database, Job Scheduling, Automation, and Performance Tools

  • Azure Development, (TFS)/Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Power BI
  • Microsoft Visual Studio (C#, .NET) and Python
  • SQL Server Data Projects/DACPAC
  • RedGate SQLPrompt
  • PowerShell
  • Entity Framework/LINQ
  • Microsoft certification is a PLUS
